My work consists of acrylic and multi-media paintings. Many are executed with intense color and an occasional shot of metallic brilliance.
Texture is always incorporated into my art to add deeper dimension and help define certain characteristics.
I’m always experimenting with composition and use of space that leads the viewer’s eye to further tour the painting.
My style is one of selecting traditional subjects and placing them in abstract and impressionistic settings.
My work is based on research and the inspiration derived from my love of animals, the outdoors and interest in spiritual elements of other cultures.
My artwork expresses my present relationship with living in Montana and the feelings I get when my paintings “speak to me”.
My Family and I moved to Montana when I started Junior High School. While growing up in Montana, I’ve always been and continue to be an avid outdoor and sports enthusiast.
I’ve been drawing, painting and creating as far back as I can remember. Textiles have also played an important role as I dabble in interior and clothing design. I have created a successful jewelry line repurposing vintage jewelry.
Many of my pieces are directly influenced by Western and Native American subjects. I love painting animals and continue to paint commissioned “Pet Portraits”. Abstract art has always intrigued me and I’ve started experimenting with new abstract paintings.
